Who We Are
The California Center for Photography (previously known as the California Center for Digital Arts) is located in the historic Santora Arts Building in the heart of the Arts District in Santa Ana, California. Built in 1929, the Santora showcases the rare Churrigueresque Spanish Ultra Baroque style of architecture, making it one of downtown Santa Ana’s most iconic landmarks.
In the 1990s, artists began transforming the building into a creative hub, filling it with studios and galleries that helped shape the vibrant arts community it is today. Now, as part of the Santa Ana Artist Village and home to the annual Art Walk, the Santora continues to thrive as a center for creativity and expression. Our facility includes dedicated creative workspaces for photographers at all levels.
We offer hands-on photography education and mentoring programs throughout Souther California and beyond, designed to develop both technical skill and creative vision in hobbyists and professional photographers alike. Our offerings include beginner digital photography classes, Photowalks, studio photography workshops, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop courses taught by experienced professionals, a summer photography camp for kids, and immersive travel photography workshops across scenic locations in the western United States and around the world.
We are continually expanding our course offerings with new workshops, classes, and special events. Sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about the latest opportunities and upcoming programs.
